Billy Budd.

Hi, i'm Juana and i'm going to introduce my book. I've been reading a book at christmas. The name of this book is Billy Budd. The autor is Herman Melville. 

Some of Herman Melville. He was an American. He was born on 1819, in New York City. From the age of fifteen, Herman had meny different jobs. He worked in a bank. He worked on ships. He was teacher in a school. He worked on a ship called Acushnet. It sailed to the Pacific Ocean. After adventures in the Pacific islands, he sailed on a ship named: The United States. This ship belonged to the US Navy. He lived a lot of adventures and writed a lot of stories. In 1863 he went back to New York City. He worked in a govenment until he died. He died on 1891. He was 72 years old.

Typee (1846), Omoo (1847), Mardi (1849), Redburn (1849), White jacket (1850), Moby-Dick 1851). Billy Budd was he last story. It was published in 1924, 33 years after Melville's death.

The characters of this book are: 

Capitain Edward Vere, Lieutenant Ratcliffe, William (Billy) Budd, John Claggart, Dansker, Squeak, Albert.

The story is about: 

In 1797 Britian and France are in war. British warships are fighting French warships. Edward Vere is the capitan of a British warship. Billy Budd arrives on the British warship. Billy is strong and handsome. Most of the sailors on the ship like Billy. But he has an enemy: John Claggart, he is the master at arms. John hates Billy, and he has a plain He will make a trouble for the sailor.

Christmas Letter!

A friend of my English class, sent me a letter. Paola, said this: 'Dear Juana, merry Christmas, i have spent two months with you, very funny in Miami (USA). Your friends are so funny. Your house in the beach is big and in night, i see dolphins in the sea. Your family is glad and the meat was good. I am happy because i have returned at home with my family, but i hope to see you, soon'. 

I learned how to write a letter in english and how to decorate it. I realy liked this project. 

SUMMER, july.

My july was ok. I went to Ireland with Akoe and i knew many people of many countries. I was in Academy of Kilkenny (Kilkenny was my town). I was one month there. I was in a Irish family and they were very good with me. In Ireland i ate a lot of food of Mcdonald's and Burger King... 2 days i went to Dublin and i seen a lot of shops and the biggest shopping center in Europe.

SUMMER, august.

The first week of august i was in Denia. The second week (three days) i was in Madrid, and Violeta went to USA one year. I visit a lot of places. The other days i was in Denia with Marina and Colo, and we enjoy that! Letter, they went to Abejuela and i stay there another week. That week i met Vera two or three times. The four week i was in Abejuela just wirh Colo and i knew a lot of people (Friends of Colo).

SUMMER, september.

In september, the Canadian girl of the exchange of my sister, went to my house. She plays the saxophone like me and we search a saxophone for she plays in the band of my town. She's very nice and i introduced a lot of my friends of Ireland (They have her age).
